From Google: The SOAP Search API was deprecated in 2006 and we're now planning to end support for it as of August 31st, 2009.

Yea, I also got the same Email - sorry to see Google drop support for the SOAP API.

I'm guessing that the DP Keyword Tracker will continue to work for MSN and Yahoo, but presumably no more Google rankings ... :-(

Could somebody of Digitalpoint who is responsible for Keyword Tracker operation possibly comment on this G!-announcement? Will Keyword Tracker be adapted to the new API type? What can/should we, the users, do?

Tnx a lot in advance and

I got the notice also and it's gonna be a sad day in August.

I've been using the tool since 2005 and will miss it. It's helped me learn SEO and allowed me to benchmark and monitor my sites.

I sincerely appreciate Shawn for writing the tool and making it available to the DP community for such a long time.

    Thank you Shawn!!!

That's too bad for current users. They must be planning for some thing new with SOAP search.

It looks like there will be no API for keyword rankings and any automated queries are against googles terms.

This G!-policy hasn't changed since years - and in spite of that, the KW tracker was up and working. I don't see any reason why this should change. The question is whether at DP there is still enough interest in keeping the KW tracker in operation. That's the point.
