What is your average value per click?

    2008
    July $0.19
    August $0.30
    September $0.32
    October $0.22
    November $0.18
    December $0.41

    2009
    January $0.23
    February $0.41

I began my Adsense career in July 2008. I'm still learning, but February's earnings were the highest so far. The average value per click was joint top with December at $0.41 per click.

How is everyone else's average value per click? Simply divide February's earnings by your number of clicks - don't worry about niche etc....

1 million dollars per click. But I focus on Weapons of Mass Destruction. I's a very tight niche.

lol, serious, but really rather pointless. Without niche (which many won't give) and accurate numbers (which another percentage won't give) all it is is tossing numbers around to see who has the biggest, well, number :)

Even WITH niche it doesn't mean much unless you get into traffic sources and make up, specifics within the niche etc.

lol, sorry. I'm sure there must be some other people into pure stats - that's all they are. I have a spreadsheet where all of my daily/monthly stats go.

Here some pure stats for my lame sites, based on very low click counts:

    December: $0.077 per click.
    January: $0.160 per click.
    February: $0.178 per click.

I have a similar spreadsheet that I consult quite often. Stats are very interesting, but if you wish to do anything with them, knowing more than just that someone got a $0.41 overall ePC in February is imperative :)

They are way more than stats, though....some rhetorical questions:

What was the max ePC? What was the min? What is the median? What sort of standard deviation are we looking at? Do any particular days of the week stand out (nice application of pivots)? Start of month vs end of month?

What particular pages have higher ePC? Why might that be? etc

Then, apply what is discovered to tweak your site. Every site is different so comparisons are mostly water-cooleresq. But looking indepth at your OWN can provide a wealth of applicable information.

One thing I believe in strongly....don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to YOURSELF. Improve upon your former self, ie, compare YOUR February to January and strive to improve THAT.

I get about $0.05 cents a click right now and I'm on my second day of adsense. A decent start I guess! If I can get it above 10 I'd be very happy, but if I get above 20 that would be incredible (and help a lot with college :)). Any really good suggestions on how to increase this number other than getting more people on the site?

The dominant factor influencing CPC seems to be niche. Steer your content slowly towards that of a higher-paying niche, if you can, but also make sure that there are enough people looking for that type of content.

Use the Google Keyword Tool for this kind of research. Make sure you choose to show the "Avg CPC" column in the results.

Here's an update on my average click values. To work out your average for May, simply take your earnings for may and divide it by number of clicks.

    2009
    February $0.41
    March $0.32
    April $0.22

    May $0.45* (so far)
