i am interested in doing a bit of website flipping but only just getting started in my research on the subject. one thing I have wondered but been unable to find teh answer to is:

Is there anyway of getting around the 60 day rule?

By that I mean my understanding of domains is that you have to have held it for 60 days before you are able to push it to anyone else - is there any way of getting around this problem or will all sites flipped have to be held by me for a period of 60 days?

Create a new account at the registrar for each domain. Then you can just transfer the account password.

Not sure if I am able to get your question.

But yes, it is mandatory that you hold a domain for a min of 60 days before you transfer it to someone else.

But with us, you can simply do a account change which eliminates the transfer process and transfer cost. In other words, account change is free.

So if you had a domain and were not interested in it anymore, you can anytime move it to someone who is interested in it.

    Hope that helps you.

If you hold the website for a few months it also shows that you take ownership of the site and not a cookie cutter site..

    That not too good.
Coz many domain company offering free transferring cost.
About the 60 day rules, you can negotiate with the buyer such as the buyer only pay half then after the 60 day,you push the domain, then only they buyer paid you the rest of the amount.

I have sold many websites and domains within few days from the date of registration.
I dont seem to have a problem with the 60 day rule as it applies only when you transfer the domain from one registrar to other.
You can push (internal push) the domain to the buyer with the same registrar itself.
As creating an account in domain registrar's website (like Godaddy.com) is simple and free - the buyer can easily create a new account if he doesnt have one.

    Buddy, you are wrong..

Your registrar may deny your domain transfer request if done within 60 days from the time of registration. (not applicable for internal domain push)

You can always do an account change within the registrar. Remember this Godaddy is the number 1 registrar. If you use them for your domains that you are flipping, you will likely have no problem with people buying and changing to their godaddy account. If they do not have a godaddy account, then they will be more likely to want to get one and do this since Godaddy has Superbowl commercials. :)

Think about it, if you have the domains hosted at abubu.com , do you think the buyer will want to open an account at abubu.com?
