    Hi all,

I have been a newbie to SEO, was trying to learn a few tricks from forum when i decided to launch my own website

after about a month of launch, google shows about 11k indexed pages (checked using query site:www.fachak.com) but I can only go till 476 before it shows me 'Omitted results' filter ... once i click on 'Omitted results' it shows me a total of 478 results...

so where are other 10500 pages? supplemental? (but wasn't that dead long before as per official google announcements)

this is killing me ... i have checkd for duplicate content, none of my pages has got a duplicate meta description, the main website page is PR3, i have no clue what is happening.

    any help is welcome... please

I think Google is simply limiting how deep you can go. I think all of those pages are indexed. If you are unsure, submit a sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools. It will tell you much more information about pages being indexed. It will also tell you if there are any crawl errors or other similar problems.

I agree with vansterdam, they limit how deep it will go. Just use google webmaster tools, get your sitemap added and that should take care of it. I've had the same issue in the past with sites that had a lot of content.

    Thanks ghazz and vansterdam.

But I still have a doubt, shouldn't google limit results from that query at 1000 (as it does with all other queries) ... why is this number different in my case (& it keeps on varying with a small increase every day)

I have submitted my sitemap to google webmaster and it shows 10k pages indexed, however I doubt that number of pages actually been indexed by google as I have seen zero jump in hits due to this increased indexing.

does it matter that I opened up my website to google only 5 weeks back ?

Thanks once again for all the help.
    Still looking for answers

If you are really concerned about this issue, do some random tests for pages on your website. Search Google for a unique clip from each page. If all those pages show up, you have nothing to worry about.

Since your website was only open to Google for 5 weeks, all of those internal pages likely aren't strong enough to get good rankings and generate traffic. It doesn't matter how many low value pages you have if none of them can get good search rankings. You probably need to build more backlinks before those internal pages generate much traffic. You need to build more links to both your homepage and to your internal pages.

Nopes, there were few pages initially (about 20 or so) which I changed quickly. But other than that no duplicate title tags.

Yes there is one concern, some of the pages have videos from youtube, so title tag while is not duplicate amongst internal pages, it might be similar to some youtube title tag. Is that an issue? How can I solve that?

there is one duplicacy concern though, some 2000 pages have videos from youtube, so title tag while is not duplicate amongst internal pages, it is actually similar to the youtube title tag. Is that an issue?

Are there any tricks to get my site out of this problem?
