    Hi,

Been a long time since I've built a site with any substance. Take a look, let me know what you think.

Is it intuitive, easy to navigate, and functional?

I'm going for a clean cut, straight to the point funtional site. I put some adsense and other affiliate links to monetize it.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

The layout looks simple, not very professional. You should do the layout using CSS and divs instead of tables.

First, thank you for your feedback.

I never really coded css directly. I let dreamweaver write it as it saw fit. But after reading your post, I looked into it and it's not as difficult as I thought. Found a nice little tutorial that laid out writing some really simple css stuff.

I finally understand why people use css and it's advantages. So thank you for that.

As far as looking unprofessional, did you mean because I used tables? More likely you ment that the site looks just looks plain bad.

Does it just need a different color scheme, or an entire redesign? A very popular and similar site is 800notes.com. I'm trying to have that funtionality but with my own look.

Anyone else like to chime in. I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

In general website looks good, but gray and yellow collors don't suit each other! Try different color combinations to improve design! Redesign right side of website in more professional style and implement a good logo!

Gray and yellow, I kinda liked the colors. But I think you're right. It's not working.

Will work on a cool logo today. I agree, the right side is very weak. Looks like I just slapped the links in last minute.

    Thanks!

It looks great! Obviously it's not super fancy, but it's "industrial" look really seems to fit the motif of the site as a resource. Your website is clean and clear. But I have to wonder: is it legal? I mean it sure seems like it would be... but ya never know. If you have not already, I'd recommend taking the time to check into the privacy issues which might be related to a site like this. I might also suggest tying this website in with some kind of database so that the phone number owner could get an e-mail or a phone call to let them know they are listed and respond. Would be more interactive that way! Or maybe if you have your own server, then also tie it in to a modem, and have an automatic call made to all listed numbers. Then, I think the utility of the site would be combined with some entertainment as site visitors could see the responses of the phone number owners. Just some thoughts. This site is a really cool idea.

Thanks, I was going for the simple but functional. I did do a little research on this kind of site, and put the legal stuff in a link near the "about us" page. Basically I'm protected since I am not considered the "publisher".

An automated email or phone call is a bit of a stretch, but interesting idea. I'm a little uneasy having my site emailing or calling someone on it's own.

There is a "reply to a post" button for anyone to respond to a comment, which could be used by the phone number owner.

One thing I need to do is limit the comment length. Someone just posted a very long comment that you have to page down to finish reading. I'll have to edit that post then adjust my text box to limit the length.

    Thanks for the feedback!
