You have to catch a moderator in a good mood. How to do that? Nobody knows. Luck. :)

See even high PR websites still cannot access DMOZ.I think considering DMOZ is not important anymore.

I'm an editor for Dmoz and can tell you that the criteria is to simply make sure that the area you are submitting to is relevant and that your site contains unique content that is updated regularly. If it looks spammy, it won't get added.

    Good luck.

I would think of this the other way, DMOZ is very important, however it just has a high threshold..

There's no way you can influence the process. All you can do is just wait (and relax). dmoz is not the only thing to think about, just like pr is not everything.

Its VERY HARD to get into DMOZ, personally I wouldn't waste your time, unless of course you have a friend on the inside that is. Think about though, there are tons of other great ways to get backlinks from high quality sites, why waste your time on something so difficult to get approved..?

give it a try. still you have to start somewhere with linkbuilding. It does not have any special criteria I guess, just sit down and keep working on other stuff.

Submit and forget or don't submit at all because you have no control over it.
