Is Google still dancing March 1st

I've seen mostly positive movement on majority of sites since January.

Man thinking back to years ago Google's algo's have changed so much from then to now. It's amazing.

 

I don't think that Google is dancing. One of my site just got penalized. I do believe that it is just on individual site and not on everyone else.

 

Can't believe I have not seen this posted yet... Read the info at the URL below. It might shed some light on this major algorithm update.

Still bouncing, I am jumping form page 3 to page 1 every few hours.
Havent been on page 1 for this particular site in the past so <fingers crossed>

I keep bouncing from 15th to 6th place for the major keyword "cars" in the UK. If that settles in 6th I will be all smiles. Worked hard for it though!

 

Yep that article has been doing the rounds, It makes sense for some industries and not for others. In the Auto industry Manufacturers sites have always ranked poorly as they have no idea what they are doing. Crazy in this day and age but hey! So I expect to se many of the ranking well in the next few weeks.

Although sites like Amazon that are shopping networks will still stay up high as they have a big brand, and in the auto industry I would expect the same for Autotrader etc... Getting yourself in Google news or gettinga link froma high authority site will do your SEO rankings wonders.

 

I think it does make sense if people do search for broad keyword such as "car loan" "buy a book" "insurance quote" and the company offering the matched services come up, but it does not make sense if branding product ranked for keyword that people use to find opinion from others such as "hair widget reviews" because everyone product owner have to claim they are best with bias toward. and the results cannot give accurate results for people need.

 

I noticed a few of my indexed pages dropped however I have also gained keyword rank on some of the better words I was targetting... Ill take it

 

Yes. you can call it a BIG update by Google .. Hell many changes in SERPs

Yes, still google is changing, for me i have few sites i got some inner page rank and also loose few pages inner page rank.

 

Im not sure if its not done dancing but according to last year's announcement, Google Dance and major update should be done by First week of Feb

 

Mine started around the 26th last month. Been smiled upon by G for God

 

How long can this last?... it's now day 8.

I couldnt agree more, we have been talking with car manufacturers for ages about this exact situation. Customers do not want to got Brand X to read a bias view of how wonderful their car is, they want independent reviews and that is why it is so important for them to have branding visable on other websites.

So when it comes to results that require aggregated products, I would presume this will not change. However for a keyword such as "car make model" it will likely benefit the manufacturer.
