Review New Blog

I recently switched over from a Blogger account to a WordPress account. After spending a good amount of time, I finally found a theme I liked, and was able to customize it to my liking.

Looking for feedback on the general layout of the site, bugs, small tweaks I can make, etc.

I also need some help with the AdSense - I don't know where to place to maximize CTR while not making it the main focus of the site.

Looks fine from my computer. Any specifics of the error? I recently switched servers, so I think perhaps some error messages are just 404's from the records not getting distributed yet.

adsense placement is down is specific to different sites. Is is more a trial and error thing, because you have to think about colour, shap and size.

The layout and design is not bad, I could be wrong about this but I don't think
    adsense is allowed on wordpress.

I was 99% sure that it was. There are about 100 plugins, downloadable directly from the WordPress website, that are specifically made to insert Google AdSene ads into posts and on pages. I can get them to show up, I just can't figure out the best places to put them.

As for the AdBrite and Kontera ads, I am having a little bit of trouble getting them to show up.

No it's not that. You can place adsense on wordpress as long as it's on your own hosting account. If you read the terms and conditions for adsense nowadays, they do not allow adsense to be placed on free sites and that means if you get a subdomain off any free site like demon.co.uk/yoursitename or www.yourblogname.wordpress.com which both examples is a subdomain and free site.

It's great that they stopped adsense placement on free sites. Makes it more targeted for advertisers.

That makes sense. I purchased a GoDaddy account of which is hosting the site. I have a personal server at home, but would prefer hosting this domain offsite for a few reasons. If need be, I can move it onto my personal server.
