Yes, this is a rather new guideline they've put on us. But, if you have a lot of content-original, you may be able to appeal graciously. :)

When did this go in effect? Because I applied for an adsense account the same day I registered a domain and the website had 0 content on it about 2 weeks ago and got approved within hours.

Is it the "website"? Or the "domain" that should be 6 months old?

When I first applied for Adsense account, I used a newly bought domain that is already 5 years old. The "website" on that domain was live in just 24 hours, and my Adsense account request for that site was approved within just a few hours, and ads have started showing up since then.

Yes, because Google wants to wait for 6 months to see whether the guy would turn into a click maniac in that span of time. :D

Actually, I have been searching everywhere to find the link directly to Adsense site (or blog post) stating the latest rule but I have not find any.

But if they are only allowing a 6 month old blog, then I think it's really better. That time, I suppose a blog has already sufficient search engine traffic.

    Strange.

So, they are approving sites that is no older than a day yet their ToS says a site has to be 6 months old (according to people on here)?

Are they trying to trap us then? Have us make $$ for them and then ban us before we get our big checks?

    Hmmm....
