I'm planning on opening a arcade/flash gaming website, alike miniclip(.com); I'm planning on putting some google adsence adverts on and what not. Just wondering if anyone else is running a flash gaming website? If so, do they have any tips for somebody starting one up? How much are you earning from it? Is it worth it? Thanks.
Far to much competition, unless you have tons of cash to throw at it or are willing to spend 20 hours a day promoting it for little return, give up.
I agree lots of competition for general all purpose flash game sites, but you can still make good money in niche type of game sites, pick a type of game or style and create a site around that.
Yes i run it last time. Make sure your site have a lot of games and the game is loading fast. Around $5/day
Exactly. If you just start one of those 10,000 games generic sites then you'll be dead before you begin, but niche arcades still do well. I had one that paid for itself within 3 days of launching it. Pick something you like to play.
That's fine by me. It's mainly a website I'm setting up for own entertainment/boredem (playing flash games) and for my younger brother to play. I'm planning on paying $40 or so for a year hosting and a domain name, so as long as I make a bit of profit; I don't mind.
Arcade/Flash Gaming Websites is low pay niche, adsense is paying very low CPC. Therefore, you need alot of traffic and high CTR to earn good money from adsense. The only advantage is Arcade/Flash Gaming Websites can acheive high CTR
i had one of those sites, i did well with it. the only problem is the data base always had issues. i think it was more of a bad script. i would try it again.
Which script did you use? To be honest, if you get bored of your website, it was a bad idea to start it in the first place.
If you go with the ready made scripts that everyone else has with the standard templates .... don't expect much revenue try to build something unique and promote it as hell and it might pay off focusing on some particular niche within "online games" might also be the way to go ...
