Right I've optimised for so many different keys so many times that are deemed to be of the 'high traffic' variety and been burned so many times. Is 'how to kill wasps' searched a lot, I want to optimise for it but have no idea what to trust now. Every tool says different!!
I would say there are 20-30 searches a day for how to kill wasps in Google.com Don't ask me how I figure it out
Thats what I'm thinking but wasp extermination is really a summer-only niche which throws me totally off. What would be a HIGH traffic key for killing wasps???
Donot rely too much on the keyword suggestions. These suggestion tools gives you idea what searchers enters. The important thing is your judgement. Check the page and judge what should be the best word that defines the pages.
"Wasp killer" has 1,800 searches per montzh, according to http://google.com/sktool/#keywords?q=wasp I'm using only this tool, and I'm always positively surprised.
Yeah I'm starting to think adwords keyword tool is the best tool now. Used to be the worst but seems if it says its high in searches, it usually is.
Don't be surprised when you rank first in Google and find out the traffic is 2-3 times lower than what the tool reported. Happened to me many times. Everytime
Thing is thats whats happened to me with keywordresearch, wordtracker and all the others. The only way I've found reliable keywords is thru google trends and even then most of the high traffic keys dont convert!
Don't be surprised when you rank fifth in Google and find out the traffic is 2-3 times of that the tool reported. Happened to me many times. Everytime "Arm numbness" has 1,500 searches Other combinations like arm tingling, hand tingling, finger tingling..all together have about 10,000+ searches, I guess. My article about arm, hand and fingers numbness and tingling is not #1 for any keyword combination, and it gets 13,835 pageviews/month. I guess we realize that we are talking about sktool here, not adword external tool.
