    Hello,

I think major search engines like Google.com, Yahoo.com, MSN.com are not fair to my websites. I have some keywords ranked on my Google sitemap on the 14th position. I do not see it nowhere when doing a search on google for that keyword. For the same keyword, I also could not find my site on Yahoo and MSN. I do not know why is that. My sites are over 1 years old. Why Google site map ranked that keyword but can not be found on Google?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks very much for reading.

What are people doing on your site? Are you using an Analytics program? If you have a high bounce rate Google will not give you a ranking boost regardless of your incoming links.

Everone things that their site is special. It's not. And neither is mine. Google is no longer just looking at links and anchor text. THEY ARE LOOKING AT WHAT PEOPLE DO WHILE ON YOUR SITE. How long do they stay, what do they click on, etc. They are also heavily invested in local search.

So you need to open your mind up to the bigger picture.

It's not about fair. It's about MONEY. And it's how Google can make more money, nothing to do with your site at all.

    You meant "using adwords"?
    or "fresh content"?
    thanks.

What SEO strategies do you use to optimize your sites? That could be a big factor why your kws don't rank in other search engines. Take note that the algorithm of Google is different from MSN and Yahoo.

Sorry if I'm asking - what is "bounce rate"? Why "bouncing"?

^^ Bounce rate is the average of visitors leaving your website without visiting any other page.

Bounce rate will be high when your site content might be not informative for users or not relevant to users.

Bounce rate will also be high if you are involved with any traffic exchange program or you are into buying traffic just for the stats! :(

What do you mean by this?

As for ranking, search engines have some criteria- you're not fulfilling them at this moment.

make a investigation and check if you are indexed or not, just because the site is one year old does not mean it will be indexed, google does NOT index all pages... learn this and you will start to understand what google is trying to do... which is to serve relevant results to users....

if you have participated in blogs and forums and you still are not being indexed then i expect you are using old SEO techniques which google has termed black hat....

if you submit/ add your url to google more than once every 6 months then you will have been slapped by google for being impatient.... youare far better to let google find your site naturally than to submit it
