Well, doing that may not be fair to the advertisers since you are not interested in the ads in the first place.
I click adsense ads only when I have a special interest in that or want to know more about them. I will never tax the advertiser in a bid to help the publisher. That's my policy
No agree. If you are interesting on the ads, you have right to click it. The advertiser is paying money to get omeone interesting to read it. if you say shouldnt click on the ads, then who shall click on it?
The issue is WHY you are clicking on them - if it's to "leave a tip" for the blogger/publisher, then you're just stealing somone else's money to do that. It's not a good thing, you are not a good person for doing that. And Seth Godin got into a bit of row for suggesting it and had to backtrack wildly http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2008/08/ads-are-the-new.html http://www.wolf-howl.com/22/seth-godin-cheat-advertisers/ Of course you SHOULD click if you've read the ad, and it looks like something you might be interested in.
Over the years of web surfing, I completely, subconsciously filter out all ads. I also think that it would be unfair to the advertisers. Simply think about your own company, if it was ever in a situation where you were paying for advertising and members randomly clicked on your ads for no gain of your own.
I think if you are a serious reader and found some great content on the blog/website, then definately you will interested with the adsense ads (adsense matching ads is good on quality blog/website). This shouldnt be the issue. The only issue only happen on those "friend's blog", as per you mentioned, it is steal money
okay, so if you want to give something back to the publisher of that website, actually look for an ad that interests you, if there is one, click that ad and see where it goes from there. If not, then just leave it. Advertisers know that every click will not convert to a sale.
I AM an advertiser - and you still don't get it. Clicking on ads is NOT a valid way to 'give something back to the publisher of the website'. That's not why advertisers put their ads on sites.
Just clicking the ads make Google pay the advertisers, to my perception i think a user should click ads if the user needs the info which the ads link can offer...
As long as you click only ONCE per 24 hour period.......It is OK to click on Sponsored Links, per Google's guidelines. Webmasters: if you don't want extraneous clicks ---- DO NOT USE PPC, Ad words, or Overture.
i m never click. if i like any ad then go to site without clicking on adsense ad(trace site link and go there directly)
No - never. I also use adblock to keep it from accidently happening. I'd hate to do that because then it could be associated with my adsense account & thought to be improper clicks/some sort of clickgroup.
