Well you don't really Search Engine Optimize a search engine do you? I mean with Google what do you do, optimize Google for looking at itself... actually I think they probably do do that, but their type of SEO is Search engine Optimization in the truest sense, really Optimizing a Search Engine. :)

It's a nice finding and good post. Even if some day the PR of Google homepage gets lowered to zero but this still won't show anything because such things as scores or values might be online theories created by some webmasters and displayed while using some softwares and applications and a second interesting idea could be taking a look at the codes used by Google because most of the pages are not using validated codes.

Google doesn't have to practice SEO, they are way to popular to even have to worry about that. For example, look at their Title Tag, it just says "Google". Why would they even have to SEO it?

These scores are really inaccurate. This example shows the score is mesured with Metatags, Title, Keywords (wich are important, but not the only factor) and not with backlinks (Google has thousands and thousands of links).

I use to focus on those rankings/scores last year. If you start using that as a tool and make modifications your SERP will go down - believe it
