For websites that have donations link (Paypal etc), do they get any money at all from users or are they just discarded. I'm just wondering because sites that are non-profit usually have donation links and in my opinion most people just ignore them. Anybody to share their experience with donations?
yah most of the sites doesnt gets any but some really do.. Especially websites of big non-profit organizations drives a lot of money.....untill u r known who will believe money will go for actual use..
It depends what type of sites you have I think. If you have a site that helps people then someone surley will donate.
The guy was really lucky The probability of getting a donation is too small like i thought. Thanks for your feedback.
Ive run a non-profit guitar lessons site with 300 visitors a day. Its been up for nearly a year and Ive had $0 donations!!! Worth a try though huh?
I have made $1400+ in 2 years from Donations, though all of it went right back into the sites operation costs because that is where I said it would go.
Wow! Thats pretty damn good going!!! I could do sooo much to my sites with that kind of donations... Oh well I can dream on...
If you have a invision forum you can set up a subscription and call it "donation" or "premium membership". I run premium membership and ive had about 9 people sign up for it. Donations work well on forum community sites.
How did you set yours up? Does it have a specific amount? I wanted to leave my subscription as an open ended amount, but it doesnt appear that is possible?
