I was contacted via email about one of my domains. From a company named Elite Investment Group. Has anyone heard of this company? Im new to domain selling and feel like this maybe a scam because the guy offered me a price higher than the posted price and then wanted me to get the domain appraised though http://www.domainexplorer.org/. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to go about this transaction.
Definately a scam! If any so called buyer asks for an appraisal, it's a scam cos once thet got the appraisal money, you'll never hear back from them
Yeap this is a very common scam, just tell them to get the appraisal done themselves and deduct the money from the purchase. You will see that you never hear from them again.
Why would someone write "Investing in domains is a profitable business." in a letter like this? It's obviously a BS scammer.
