    Hi all,

Since I am not asking anyone for a deal or a service, I think it is ok to post this thread here.

I am a developer and I am asked to develop a new website for a client who wants an e-commerce website.

Anyhow, since I am a developer I don't have that much experience in designing and I can't grantee that this site is excellent or not. This is why I kindly ask you to point to me the best design sites in your opinion. And of course as I am looking for the top-notch designing sites out there with the best exp in web designing and web standards like accessibility and usability. The cost in this moment is irrelevant if their work justify it.

    Thanx,

try monstertemplates.com they have a huge database of templates that I'm sure you can customize to your needs.

You can buy it at a low rate but it can be re-used. Or you can buy it at a unique rate and it will no longer be used.

Go for TemplateMonster like above. Or you could try TemplateWorld, it's nice and cheaper.

    Thank you all for reply.

I am more looking for custom designs. I mean, I fill them with the req and they give me the design based on the web standards, like web 2.0, accessibility, and usability. And the most important thing is that the simplest the better for me, unlike templatemonster which is filled with rich media.

And thank you all in advance.

Over the years, I've found many templates from Open Source Web Design that served as great starting points for sites. Most of them are free of any requirements aside from attribution, and some don't even require that. Of course, a small link to the original template designer is always nice. Hope this helps!

Then try hiring people on this forum. It's a free market, so generally you can go for a reasonably low rate. But remember sometimes quality is affected by the price.

I'd really suggest the contest forums. Post a contest with a large sum for a template ($85-$300) and have people compete. It's like having a design firm in your hands. You end it when you like or not choose a winner, it's up to you. Just be sure to provide examples of what you want and be detailed about your needs.

But you will need to gain reputation and posts before you can go to the contest forum. Not everyone will compete for a 2 post newbie. You can also try a freelance projects site.
