Looks like Google updated backlinks today?

    I just checked my backlinks in google
    with the link: command
    and new links are showing up for me now

    anyone else?

    But what is the significance? Every body knows that the backlinks google shows is not the links that it actually indexes

    you need to chill out, we got it, your the seo expert king almighty!

    to some of us it does matter, for example, now i know if some of my backlinks are recognized by google.

    we already know google link: command isnt the most reliable, thats old news.

    if it doesnt matter, then why did u even click on this thread?
    you dont need to troll around and keep saying that, it gets old real fast.

    I noticed less backlinks from google... but my yahoo backlinks went from 160 to 1850... what's up with that?

    its not google has updated its back links... there are many sites where you place a link then.. it will promptly add in to the list of back links... I have experienced that thing in to my own web site.

    yes ours have changed slightly on the link: operator but not in WMT for a week or so now.

    the significance is that this usually means there's a proper PR toolbar export coming shortly, and we are about due one aren't we?
