I would just say to best spend the time to build as many backlinks before the next PR period arrives, that way we can almost guarantee that there will be an improvement to look forward to this month.
I've got a new site that is about 3 months old, so can't wait for a PR update and see if all my work has paid off
We just got a PR update on our blog Maybe Google's coming around early this time We had a PR0 yesterday, now this morning a lovely PR2 - (link in signature) I checked it using a couple of PR Checkers and they all return it as valid, so hopefully it won't fluctuate like crazy (unless it's positively fluctuating )
M3rC, it definitely does seem to me too that there was at least a minor PR update, today. I've noticed this also in my webmasters tools, the graph is different to what it was 2-3 days ago when I last checked. My inner pages got increased PR, but only those that used to have PR in past, then the PR disappeared and now that PR returned; this is all since the last major update in December 2008. I am glad to be able to say that that time my new website/domain, 2 months old in december, got a new/initial PR5 at start and still has it! (i hope that my note isn't confusing

oh, I like this feeling when everyone asks about pr update from my experience, last time pr threads appear 1 months earlier than the update so I would count 1 month since now
