How To Monetize PR3 Domains and Websites.

    Hello forumers,

How do we monetize high PR domains and websites? I have several domains and websites with PR0 to PR3.

For the PR3, I am thinking of selling text link advertising with dofollow, but is it permitted by google? I am afraid google will penalize. If ok, how much should I charge for the text link advertising?

I am also thinking of selling the PR3 domains. But wondering if the price can reach more than $200.

    Any idea?

    Thanks.

    Arie

the PR3 isn't going to sell the domain alone. I see them all the time @ domain forums, and tons will go for as low as $20 - 30 bux. Depends on the actual domain names, too.

But i think i have seen some PR3 domains sold for more than $100. With PR3, we can sell backlinks for quite some money, right? (but google doesnt like it, ;) )

Yes you can sell backlinks. However in regards to selling the domains. It all depends on the name and the niche is corresponds with. You need to remember that you aren't selling the PR3. You are selling the domain.

If you sell one way links to relevant sites I don't think it can be tracked by Google unless you advertise that you sell links. :p

How you monetize has less to do with the PR of the site and more about the subject. If you are running a PR3 sports blog, for example, that would be monetized in a whole different way than would, say, forum about running websites.

I am not a SEO expert but I just won't understand that why people run after PR. After all, google is not going to give some free lunch if you get a PR of 10. Besides, there is no guarantee that the PR will always remain stable. It may even come down. In other words, PR is not a guarantee that it will improve the way your website is shown in the search results.

I see such comments all the time. Ok I'll sell you a PR zero worth 1000 backlinks for $100 or you can have a PR3 with 1000 backlinks for the same money. Which one will you buy if they both get the same traffic? ( they wouldn't however )

For the LAST time, a PR site will outrank a lower PR site if all things are equal eg keyword in url, content etc.....let it go people. PR is the only universal ranking we have and still everyone keeps knocking it , I suspect its generally because they covet it and can't get above PR4.

Well Friend, I never cared to buy links. May be because it never stuck my mind that I should do so and after all why I would do that my dear. Although I am aware of the fact that many people out their sell links but its ok. Everyone has the right to do business and earn money.

However in my case, I simply go for a reciprocal link exchange and I am happy with it :)

    The standard market price is
    PR 1 = $5/month
    PR 2 = $8/month
    PR 3 = $13/month
    PR 4 = $17/month

All that I know that google has started to ban the websites who are selling links. They have a form where people can report that who is selling links.

I really don't know if it is right or wrong to sell links?

It depend on the traffic, Alexa Ranking, Technorati, RSS readers and the pr. Work on all of these before trying to sell some text link or no one will ever purchase a text link from it.

Paid/sponsored reviews is the same as Selling links. I think both of them are not allowed by Google.

I think the only way to monetize the high PR domains is by selling the domain itself ;)
