When you submit a post you've made on your blog to an articles database like Articles Base, doesn't this create duplicate content. I signed up for it and submitted one article, but I need to find this out. It's not as if you're submitted a link to your article, I actually had to copy and paste the content. Can someone please provide some feedback regarding this? Thanks.
the purpose of articles is to generate back links, duplicate content is only a problem if you want that page to rank and you have copied it off someone else. when you have duplicate content your page will not be indexed, you should try to modify some of the article so that there are 2-3 versions
OK, long story short: don't worry about it. There's no such thing as duplicate content penalization. SE will determine which site published a given content and rank them accordingly. An advice: don't send your articles to articles database sites if your pages havn't been indexed and cached yet. It could happen that SEs will crawl the articles databases sites first, and you might appear as the one republishing your own articles.
Thanks. I don't have the time to create 2 or 3 versions though. Maybe I will skip the articles submitting.
Thank you! I think I'm going to back put of the Articles Base submitting and stick to Social sites and RSS Feeds and directories for now. BTW, I have been indexed and cached in Google. So does each page have to be cached? IDK, a lil confused.
Yup. Wait till all your articles have been cached before submitting them to social bookmarking sites or articles database sites. That way, you'll ensure that SE will recognize you as the original source of your writings.
Wow, I had no idea about the cache thing. I usually submit my articles to social sites as soon as I post. I assumed it would be better that way because the content is fresh.
Usually, SEs will crawl your new articles within a few hours after you published them on your site so it's not like they won't be "fresh" then
there are some plugins exist which can detect ur duplicate posts, i tried one years back named duplicate post checker.
