Why does google show less backlinks?

why is it showing less backlinks than other search engines? google has 24 while others are in the 1000 range.

Can anyone explain this? or does google crawl slower than other search ?

 

It doesn't mean that google crawl is slower. How old is your site?

 

Google knows about the backlinks, but only displays a small fraction to keep other webmasters from trying to duplicate another sites backlinks. If you want to see all the backlinks google knows about, use their webmaster tools and validate your site (only the site owner has access to see all backlinks).

 

Google has traditionally only shown a sample of backlinks for each website. I believe Google does this to give less information to seo's who are trying to exploit their algorithm. In the past they showed more links, but a while back they drastically reduced that.

 

Thanks For the great advice, i was also wondering why competitors had so little backlinks lol.
