Yahoo Directory Submit

I submitted to the Yahoo paid directory 7 days ago and have not had a response on inclusion yet (they did charge my card in minutes though). I also notice the anniversary date is the application date, not the acceptance - kind of petty. How do I get answers on my status?_________________

Have you scanned the directory for your listing. It is difficult to find sometimes but that's what I did when I first joined. They never sent me an inclusion email. Good luck!

I never received any e-mails off any search engine apart from when I became a google news partner.

7 days seems a very short period of time, although as I've never paid for a submission I'm not sure how long it should take.

But two weeks sounds more likely unless yahoo say otherwise.

Sorry I couldn't help out more.

I would give them 2 weeks before contacting them. Is there anything in FAQ?

I just submitted a site last month

    1/25 - payment
    1/26 - confirmation
2/02 - email that I was in the directory

So, it took me 8 days to get in the directory.

I'm waiting for Y! to go into bankruptcy....or to get purchased by MSN.

the price for inclusion in the directory will be reduced eventually.

Its way overpriced for what they are selling, basically a single inbound link!

I usually do apply for the free inclusion but always UNSUCCESSFUL.. Anyway, if Yahoo! won't venture into non-search engine related business then they might lose all.. and go bankcrupt..

Same here. I've been submitting for more than four years under the free option for noncommercial sites. Still no success.

There is no "free inclusion" for the Yahoo Directory. It's $299 or nothing

Yes, there is a free submission option for the Yahoo Directory for noncommercial sites — http://add.yahoo.com/fast/add?259386

It's just very hard to get approved. :(
