hello, just wondering will the site traffic affect the page rank? as i never do anything for seo, but my traffic keep increasing. do it helps in my pagerank? thank you
Actually you make seo of your site for more traffic not for pr. You'll increase your pr with more links but higher pr do not guarantee more visitors
yeah, make sense.. but how come some of my pages ranked first in the search result compare to other big sites. but my pagerank is zero.. this make me confused..
a high pagerank is an indicator that google regards the site as important, which may lead to increased rankings in the SERPs, which may be part of the reason for the traffic.
And equally, a high PageRank site, may, for example, be a technical scientific site of longstanding that has a handful of prestigious links from .gov and .edu sites, but the only traffic it gets is from 50 or so postgrad students a month. Because there is no correlation between PageRank and traffic.
That mean, SEO is in your blood pal. Just joking. I am afraid Page Rank doesn't increase your site's traffic. But it is a factor that shows the importance of a webpage. SEO and Getting Page Rank are simultaneous processes and both involve a link building (with a spoonful of SEO intelligence). Got it?
