    Good evening all!

My names Mark and i'm 23 from England/Oxford. I have been dabbling in various internet ventures for a couple of years. I first started with ebay(who has'nt?) and then was looking into dropshipping and of course i failed big time! I knew nothing then of keywords and SEO but things are slowly piecing together.
I now mess around with my photoshop skills on cafepress which earns me a little but i'm always thinking bigger and who doesn't?
I read this forums every other day and i must say a thank you to you all as you all inspire me.

I can't stop thinking up ways to make that little extra cash and with no official qualifications i believe the internet is the way forward, i know it's tough to crack and takes countless hours of work but this is what i want.

When creating a webpage with a CMS such as Joomla would that affect the rank of the site or would starting from scratch be better?

I see many people make there cash through specialized blogs, where do you find your affiliate links, banners to advertise?

Anyway my mind has gone blank at the moment so i'll stop hasseling you all!

    Thanks for your time!
    Mark :D

You get affiliate links/banners by joining an affiliate program. Neverblue, Azoogle, etc.

    They provide you with codes.

You do need to evaluate CMS's and how they perform with search engines and things. But, for the most part Google seems to really like Wordpress. I'm not familiar enough with Joomla to give an opinion on it. A lot of people use it though so that should be some indication that you might be able to be successful with it.

cj.com is a great affiliate website too. You just sign up, then you can become an affiliate for a wide range of high quality companies. As teo123 pointed out, clickbank.com, azoogle, and others are quite popular too.

Good luck and remember to pick the right products!

You can open a publisher account on various Ad Agencies and get paid to display banner ads on your site. Check my signature for info.

    Mark,

I advise everyone to have many income sources. Do not depend on one job or one sorce of income. I see CafePress, as a low-cost venue, to display and sell merchandise. Zero capital and low oververhead, minus the hassles. A family can operate a business, with services like Cafe Press. The finger painting of a child can be a tee shirt or product line.

You cannot sell anything, unless you can create the desire to buy.

Cafe Press takes the hassle away.

My site BorderRaven.com, focuses on illegal immigration and other ideas, as they come along. I use Paint Shop, only because, I'm cheap.

LOL, I totally agree with you my friend... It's a must to have multiple sources of income... I myself use CafePress and although their products seem a bit costly, they do take most of the work away, thus increasing productivity...

I also use PS Paint for most of my image creation and editing... Partially, because it saves money but also because I've used it for years, since it first came out. It's a great program.

Thank you for acknowledging the queens. :)

Why not just create more Cafe Press stuff? You seem very creative and if it is already working for you and you have limitless ideas, which I know you do, try that.

Otherwise for some variety popular places to browse would be Commission Junction, I like Click Bank a lot, Pepper Jam and Marketing Leverage. Just look at those sites and familiarize your self then start looking for sites like it or if you find something that suits your sites grab them.

Make sure you do specific campaigns for the banners that you use. Mainly they should be just for display so if you're going to have them up you should push them beyond them being on your sites.

    Good luck. :)

The thing about Commission Junction is they require a sale or the same ad displayed a thousand times (unless they changed thier TOS) to earn income from them. There are many Ad Agencies out there that'll pay you just for displaying an abundance of mixed ads.

Pick your poison... If you don't have alot of confidence in making sales through ad displays, then go with a publisher account with another Ad company... However, if you think you can target customers and bring in sales, then Comission Junction is the way to go.
