    Hi,

Check our variation as well: 97tags.com
We have also made the software available for sale which allows you to launch such sites yourself. It is at wordsitebuilder.com

    Really? Check out:

    http://www.top500links.com

Looks like he has succeeded with it as well..

    So much for that theory...

I think a more correct assumption would be that it only works for those who know how to work it.

    ok, my turn!
i've had enough of you criticising pixel sites, or variations on Tew's "original" idea. That maybe because i have one myself..... to me, my pixel site is genius, i wrote it, i worked hard , day and night putting it together. Considering i've never had a site before, i'm so proud of my result.

Apparently, i can't mention the name yet due to forum rules (although i did post it somewhere else in this forum without realising!)

It's all in the marketing - Tew had help, professional help for his marketing and that's what i'm looking for - any takers can mail me on ishat*********.com - oh! can i not display my e-mail address either!? oh darn!

    i'll be back when i can :p
i've just added square on kowman's squidlink site - how long will it take to activate kowman?

good luck with your pixel site "ish",

I don't see anything wrong with them, I have two myself a million quid & tallest Advert. They are no different from normal directories, except you get a little pixel on the homepage along with your anchor text link on a seperate page.
I have made about $1800 from the first one and $600 from the second. It's not bad considering it only takes a couple of mins to sort out a new ad for someone. If I had 10 of them I would make somewhere in the $10-15K/year which wouldn't be too bad as an income supplement for a few minutes work.
You also have to make sure the pagerank of your site is high enough to warrant people buying your pixels, not much point if you are only PR1

erm... "because you see them everywhere"?.. surely thats the kind of place you'd want to spend a couple of dollars! (not a question, more an educational bit of advice)... $10 for a few random clicks to a decent affiliate site... erm... thats why I buy a piece of 'em...
