My next project is related to outsourcing and freelancers and I want to know what kind of tasks you (DPers) pay people to do. I have seen a rise of 'paid to post to forums' threads, and content creation/article writing and logo/graphic design have always been popular. What else tasks do you pay people to do? Please mention if you did hire someone yourself or you saw someone post a thread about it. Greetings, Van Silver.
I have hired people in this forum to do data entry and translation. The translation jobs went well. The data entry jobs not so well. I assume that the translation jobs went better because it's a more specialised skill and the people had more of a professional sense. Data entry is pretty basic stuff and people really bid the job down, well below what I had planned to pay. Unfortunately they all seemed to get bored and disappear, even though I paid promptly and had plenty more work for them. It's too bad; I actually would have been willing to pay quite a bit more if they asked for it. I think the lesson is not to take the lowest bids, because you get un-serious people.
I've hired to do a lot of odd-end type things. Generally, I try to do most stuff myself so I'm not spending too much money investing. I would rather work hard and reap the rewards than give most of the rewards away to others. That is just my view on things.
I hire people to process email and do live support at my business site. Other than that,i also hire some technician to handle the server issue.
Social Bookmarking, Directory Submission, Article Writing, Backlink Building, Tech Stuff, Design etc.
I do freelance work myself at freelance sites. But sometimes, I do hire service providers to help me do copywriting or data entry work.
Article Writing. Site Submition. Forum Posting. Article re-writing. Research for a topic. Just a few things I've been paid to do in the past.
Thank you everyone for your feedback I think you will notice my project/website launch which will be within the following weeks
I hire a virtual assistant to handle my blog and my calendar. She sets up all the posts on the blog, deals with the advertising requests and speaks to writers who wish to write for the site. She also does site updates and affiliate changes. On my personal calendar, once I've discussed a timeline for a project with a client, she puts it on my calendar. Honestly, I could not handle my workload without her.
I am a freelance translator (English <> Spanish) in case you need one. I have also obtained jobs in Get a freelancer and Elance. Greetings, Mirta De Seta English <> Spanish freelance translator Buenos Aires - Argentina
My VA does multiple tasks from traffic generation to website and blog creation to graphic design to coding and on and on... I have a team of people that I outsource to for other tasks if need be as well.
