Hi Friends, As my new website project i am planning to open a new web directory. How good I can market it to get links. Initially I am not looking at the paid link benefits. I am just gona give listing for free. How is PHP LD free edition. Will it do good or does any one have a good directory script other than this ?
The free script works but the paid is much easier to use. If you want at first you can go with the free and then upgrade to the paid
if you want to build up a free web directory, try phpld free version first as it's free of charge. once you set up well your site, submit to major directory lists like directory critic, directory rate... and promote it on other related sites such as webmaster forums.
Mikey this is actually one of the most informative posts written on this forum, in so few words... Any directory can gain a listing in directoryrate or directorycritic because, since their founders have moved on, they no longer have any selection criteria, which means that any old junk will be added. For real directory owners, unfortunately, that leaves you in a dilemma, since everyone is doing the same thing you are. Why waste your time on these junky resources. If you have a real directory submit it to a real resource. I'm not going to post links. If you aren't already aware I cannot help you, but if you think DC or DR will improve your directory's chances, then you are beyond help. Sorry...
