Down to 4th page from 1st page in a nite!

I was working on a keyword for my website for past 3 weeks, got it up to 6th position from bottom of second page. No black hat, just normal bookmarking,article submission,directory submission.

My site was is down to 4th page now, after coming up to page 1 and being there for couple of days.

Why does google do this ?

 

It might be Google Dance. Continue your link building and its automatically come to position normal.

 

I did change the title tag of home page a day before this happened,not exactly changed, but added a keyword to existing 6 word phrase in the title.
Can this be the reason ?

 

the title tag is one of the most important on page seo issues... then h1 tags. - thats my opinion.

 

No thats not caused it. Just because you did article submission (whiche very body is doing these days) you cannot expect any improved rankings. Unless real visitors are finding your content interesting and stay on for a while.

 

Donot get tensed. Work hard to get more and more relevant backlinks.
