Is there anyone to control links back to my site?

Everyone wants to link to it! I am worried Google will frown on me, as I just opened and tons of sites as posting my webs link on their web page

Am I going to be in hot water over this?

Do I have any control ? If yes, please explain the how to me.

Well, you can't control who links to you. There's no way you can control the content on websites that you don't own.

It sounds like you're worried about receiving a penalty from Google for too many links too fast. The thing is though, Google doesn't really penalize websites for who links to them. If this were the case, you could get any competitor website banned simply by building links to their site.

Google knows this, so there's no automatic ban for too many links. You shouldn't have to worry. Your site could set of a filter that might potentially have a google engineer do a manual check of your site. If you're not participating in some sort of link scheme then you really don't have to worry.

Thousands of links does happen naturally all the time. Someone writes a news item or posts a photo that becomes a viral sensation and can get thousands of links over night. It happens almost every day. I don't think you need to be worried. I think you should be happy that you must be doing something right to get all those links naturally. :) Lots of people would love to be in your situation.

The more links the better. I hear if they are all using the same anchor text then you could get penalized as it looks unnatural but by the sounds of it you should be fine.

One way you can control your backlinks is don't build links.

Thanks - I was put to ease on this until I read about the anchor text ---- uh yeah it is all the same! I posted on my site if you want to share this link you can copy this: http://www. x y z.com where people are coming for the best xyz......

so that IS bad then???? crap!

No it is not a link farm! It is loaded with hundreds of pages of different content all based on one targeted subject.

    what does this mean please?
The site also has hundreds of links going OUT of it as well - to lots and lots of different resources online. No sales or anything just resources.....

Can someone clear this up for me please?
