Receive thank you email from merchant/vendor as an affiliate?

Did you even receive thank you email from merchant/vendor ?
If yes how much sales did you bring ? I realize this is depends on who is the merchant/vendor, just wanna know what is the max & min sales per week you bring so a vendor send a thankyou letter to encourage you?

That's if the vendor knows who you are... So, unless you signed up to some kind of newsletter from the publisher and told them what your affiliate ID was - they can not contact you... even if you make 1,000,000 sales a day for them

 

Kind of. Years ago it happened. I wasn't technically thanked, however I was given extra money as sales bonuses (A big suprise, since I hadn't even thought of getting extra bonus or approched the publisher)

The publisher actually tracked me down, via my username. I was also publishing my own product (and using the same username as an affiliate), and they used the clickbank username to find the sales page, and used that email address to contact me.


Anyway apart from my story, I think a personalised email from a publisher, is a nice recognition that they appreciate your hard work.

Edit: Re-read original post. Don't want to reveal my numbers, but probably something over 100 sales a month might warrant a thank-you email

100 sales per product per month, I'm still approaching it but once get 57sales with one product in 2week using ppc with my own landing site, I stop it because of my cash flow management. Well that was my biggest fruit since I start IM, so were thinking to receive some bonus because it is big! (in fact it is so little from the angle of super aff)

However,
I doubt some merchant will do that. Some of them using trick and a little subconscious command to urge the prospect go to their own site, and guess what, it overwrite the cookie with their super "666666" when customer click their link.

 

This kind of publishers need to be reported to Clickbank, if you can prove such thing.

However, you must remember that it is often not a publisher trick but a "virus" on the client's computer that overwrites cookies and another affiliate gets the commission.
(Which, of course, should also be reported ASAP!)

I have done a huge number of sales for one vendor before and he did contact me as his priority affiliate whenever he has a new product. But not so much as thanking you but rather to get me to promote his new program. However, he offered me a higher commission rate of course.
