I started my first experiment with Clickbank around 2 months ago. As I am a newbie in this field, instead of making my own website, I made a Squidoo Lens reviewing the products. The products I have chosen have high gravity around 75 to 150. I did article marketing to promote my lens. As I did it all in my part time I couldn't give too much time to it. Till now I have made only 9 Sales and 1 Refund. Following are my overall stats till now. Squidoo Lens Creation on : 20-12-2008 First Sale: 05-01-2009 Second Sale: 06-01-2009 Third Sale: 07-01-2009 Fourth Sale: 31-01-2009 Fifth Sale: 01-02-2009 Sixth Sale: 07-02-2009 Seventh Sale: 11-02-2009 Eight Sale: 15-02-2009 One Refund: 19-02-2009 In between I also submitted around 10 articles written by my own to some top article directories. Till now I have made around 115$ in around 1.5 months. But I am not happy as I am not getting constant sales, means sales at regular basis. What can I do to make atleast one sale on a daily basis? I accept that my squidoo lens is not getting too much visitors. Since its creation I have got around 862 Visitors that makes around 14-15 visitors per day. I am trying to improve rankings of this lens so that I can get more visitors. If you can give me your suggestion to improve my performance, then I can go further with this. regards
two things come to mind... Don't use Squidoo pages as you don't own them and get opt-ins for future business.. You have some success so build on that and keep going. Not everyone makes money in the first two months you should think about whats working and multiply it.
I agree, not everybody makes money starting out selling products on CB. I think you're on the right track since you've already made 9 sales. Good luck on that. Just develop an attach plan and focus on that. If that doesn't work, learn from someone else and tweak your plan.
Take a look at your close rate, it's very close to 1% which is very good if you can count on it. If you have the means you might want to take a look at setting up your own site or doing it @wordpress.com pick up an SEO book and have at the directories. You've got a good thing started, now all you have to do is spend an hour a day developing your content and you should be doing well. Good Luck
You're doing great. You got some sales from a squidoo lens and a few articles submissions then you should be proud of it. Build more lenses and submit more articles well optimized on your targeted keywords.
Hi Stephen, Not many people would get to your level. Even though the amount is small at the beginning, what you are doing shows that you are someone who can stick to the plan. Now, perhaps it is time to target other niches and not focus solely on one if it is not a broad niche. When I began marketing, I was in the same position as you, then I started to market many other products, and the sales start coming in consistently. It's about spreading your net far and wide. You are doing well as a newbie. Most are still fiddling their way in the first few months so don't be hard on yourself. Also, try using your own blogs, blogger or WordPress blogs.

ive been going about the same time as you now have like 3 dif niches, 1 ive had 2 sales, and everything else nothing , ure doping well, i even Use PPC

Nice work stephen. It took me so damned long to make a single dollar affiliating. You're off to a greater start than you realize. This is all going to build on itself and soon you'll be getting sales from articles you wrote a year ago and forgot about. It takes a lot of work but it's just like grinding away at the poker tables. Just grit your teeth and keep pushing on. If you don't mind writing, you can pump out a bunch of content. Think of yourself as a writing machine. I'd look into reinvesting the money to buy webhosting and get your own site up asap. The next thing I would look into is an account with Aweber so you can start catching e-mail addresses. Offer something for free to people for signing up and you'll start your own little mini empire.
You're pretty lucky my friend. Not many people get your results in their first month with CB. Another proof Squidoo works great!
i think you're doing pretty well ... i agree with the comments about building your net wider ... setup other blogs, lenses etc targeting other keywords, point them to your main lens / sales page, this will make the big G take more notice of your site ...
Wow!!! Thanks to all of you for your great encouragement. It gave me a real boost.... BTW A new Update: I got 3 sales yesterday on 24-02-2008 thus putting $50 in my clickbank account. It was the highest in a day. Although there is One refund also. So here is my overall status till date: 11 Sales | 2 Refund I got major traffic (around 27 visitors) from my Articles posted on Ezine yesterday. Till now I have posted 10 articles out of which 9 are live. I can not explain more to you like hops etc. as I don't know much about. But one thing I know that after some great encouragement from you DP members I will work hard on this. Wish a best of luck to me.
That's marvelous you are going like a rocket. Even your conversion rates is good. After seeing your ability to create wonderful Suid lens, I will advice you to try a niche which is hot and not related to money making. Best luck

I also don't want to do affiliate marketing for such money making products as I don't like these on my own. I am looking for some products or niche which are really beneficial for peoples. I will sure try some other niche with my own domain and own site. But to start that I need some thing to promote that is really legitimate.
If you are ready to go into deep research, I will advice you to go into "health care" Arena,Its not a niche but you can found a good one. For example, JoseArmando's cure sweaty palm, or domainiac's Beat Eczema or Beat Reflux. these guys are really helpful and give 100% to fix affiliates queries. Also health care is something which is recession proof(I dont mean sales will come with same rate but still sales will not affected more than 20% for sure) There are tons of product in health care but stay away from Weight loss and Panic Attack programs, Weight loss is highly competitive and as far as panic attack programs are concern, these people don't have ability to take decision fast which affects sales as well .(Which I had realized from my marketing effort. Nothing Personal) Hope this will help.
You're on the right tracks, just try to think of as many methods as you can to scale it up and also increase traffic.
