I've recently heard people talking about a new forum uprising that looks like a potential DP competitor in the near future. What do you think? http://prowebtalk.com
No, no, no ! 90% of all threads/posts are paid ( owner is hiring peoples to do forum posting ). There is no need to create a new DP and yeah, it's nearly impossible
No, that was not the owner.. I saw those threads. That was someone trying to win a contest on the forum. The owner is 'Chris' those threads were made by someone named 'conorod'.
I hope you are kidding ? I myself have completed one of these posting offers where he paid for doing it ! "Get your facts right .."
I know for FACT that those post are not paid for.. ill find you one of conorods threads right now. You have no idea what you're talking about.
*yawn* Any one that thinks a forum with a pathetic 7,985 posts is going to be da next DP...needs mental help. *yawn*
You said that someone paid us to win a contest ! Please explain, how can he win, if posts are coming from different accounts ? Very true ! Though, at least something to talk about
This user is obviously using a referral URL and is named 'conorod' and is a member of ProWebTalk and is called 'conorod' there as well. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1241237 Because you get points in the contest for referring new users.
That site is far from being the next dp. there are plenty of smaller webmaster sites that are still much bigger than prowebtalk.
This is my forum, and trust me. I wouldn't pay for 8,000 posts. That's roughly... $800 for posts (at 10cents/post). I wouldn't do that when I can promote it via word of mouth for free.
Well... DP is slow, buggy, and annoying at times. Perhaps there could be a dent. as in a "niche" to fill that void of annoyingness that I get. Oh wait, I'm already actively over there. My bad...
I think it's your forum... I mean why else would you try and sell advertising on it? Not that there's anything wrong with self-promotion... as long as you don't pretend otherwise.
rabble rabble Yes that's him, somebody had to get something better going. In the short time I have been on DP I have been frequently annoyed. Not with the people, but with the management of the forum itself.
