I have a real estate related site that I would like to get it ranked higher. www.sierra-vista-homes-land.com. Does this look like a good way to spend $99? http://www.reals.com/submitsite.htm
I assume what you mean is that you want to know if it's worth it to spend $99 on reals.com for a link. It depends on what you want. If they can send you loads of traffic, then go for it. But its homepage has only PR 3 and so, I wouldn't spend such amount of money on it, if I were you. You can split the money among several other directories and get a better result. Just a personal opinion, though.
I don't believe I will get much traffic from the directries themselves. I am more interested in helping my search engine rankings.
That's why you need to submit your site to more directories and not just one. The more the sites you submit your link to, the more votes your site gets. And search engines take note of that. One link alone cannot make your site popular. Secondly, have you optimized your site well for search engines? That's another factor you have to take into consideration.
Probably worth it in my opinion. Page rank is not a factor in evaluating quality unless your goal is it purchase page rank. Better that the site ranks well, gets good traffic, has good content and is well edited for what you want to accomplish. Your site is real estate related. Where your listing would be in these directories would be related to the content of your site. Also in looking through some of these directories they seem to have nice features and are edited well enough. I would say it is definitely better to be listed in them than not. It could only help you in what your trying to accomplish.
you need to check the value of the pages where they will place your link; some of these networks are just plain rip-off's others are surely worth the money; check the pages where your listing would be placed and estimate the value.
why do you limit your choices? go ahead to find more quality real estate directories on directorycritic.com or directoryrate.com~!
Apart from directories, do consider getting backlinks from blogs or websites as well because your site will get indexed faster.
i really dont think is good idea just google the site to find for info about them i should spend my $99 in adword to get target traffic the a directory that wont problably make you no sale
I probably would not do it. $99 is nice money. (Give me half, and I will put a link on my PR4 site too. :O))
Spending $99 is way too much. There are many other (free) seo strategies (ex: article submission, blog, forum posting, etc.) to improve traffic and ranking of your site.
well you can get all of those work done in $99. The results would be fairly better than having one link.
I think $99 is asking too much for this service. Considering how much you can do for free to increase traffic. And I agree with teampower - $99 can buy some solid adwords.
