What the hell is going on google index!?

I launch 7 sites last month and it get indexed in google after 3-5 days. But after a week on getting index and rank for some keywords all of that 7 sites are gone on google searches. I didnt do anything against their TOS. all of the contents are unique and i just submitted the sites to Social bookmarking sites and nothing more.

So i decided to create another site last 2 weeks ago and it get indexed after 3-5 days again and after 5 days it is not ranking on its domain name on google again! What the hell is going on!

All the sites are sitting in one hosting provider which is hostgator. Do you think that server causing this (i doubt not)?

Or launching multiple sites at once has to do with it?

    This is driving me nuts!

Let me know your thought guys.

Are these .com .net .org or other?

From my recent experience, it makes quite a difference in Google.

PioneerGold, how does Google treat .org compared to .com?

Once I lost my cache pages from google, but came back the same cache pages after 2 days. I've no idea what's happening there? However I'm positive this doesn't have any relation with the hosting provider.

    Its all .com domains.

I am kinda paranoid right now because if this is happening today it will happen in the next day meaning for my future projects. I wonder what is the explanation and solution to this...

Well the way to test if a page is in the index is to feed the address into the search engine without the http://

What probably happened with your pages is that they where placed in the supplemental index, which is normal. If you build quality backlinks to the pages, you will get placed backed in the search results.

Google give a New Content Boost to new pages and new sites, this boost helps them rank high in search results. But this boost is only temporary. Because of this boost new site rank high in SERP and after few days, these sites start to rank down. You need to build relevant backlinks if you want a stable SERP.

I don't know for sure and it might be temporary...

but I registered about 8 .ORG domains and put nothing on them but Wordpress.

They all ranked (top 10) in Google for the words in the domain name within days. Months later, they are still there in Google without any meaningful content.

    At the same time...

I registered a .com and built a lot of content for it, installed wordpress, downloadable software, and images.

The .com still isn't in the top 10 despite a longer name and more pages.

So, in Google (not Yahoo or any other search engine), it seems .ORG ranks better than .COM does.

Don't know how long it's been like this, but I am registering more .ORG domains to see.

one example is my new directory www.healthsitedirectory.com if you search for its domain name at google. the homepage is not in the result.. it was there 3 days ago and last for a week now its gone.. thats the same story for my 7 sites..

do you have any reference on that statement. it is interesting because i notice that also..

it does seem a bit wierd, we launched a new blog last week and despite being listed inside WMT as indexed, the site: search does not show us yet.

i can see the cache of the blog inside WMT, 5 posts indexed starting on the 17th, but not in any index yet.

it's like there's a bug delaying something, as these days it's usually a matter of hours not weeks

Probably ORG ranks better, because COM is more commercial? Also very common.
I had i PR3 page, now it is PR2.. and i made the site grow, built some links, but nevertheless it dropped. Probably the boost is true.
When i build links i also sometimes notice, when you stop linking, the site ranks in SE jumps suddenly high. As if google likes if you pause link building for some time...

This is normal, they will return in a few weeks, but unless you get links coming in on a steady basis, the rankings will be lower.

Just happened with some of my sites I started up about 3 days ago. One of them was ranking about #4 for it's keyword, and now it's not even indexed. But this is normal; just wait a week and it should be re-indexed. In the meantime, build up some backlinks for the sites.
