I may agree with you but I'd rather say that South Americans play more attractive but Europeans give are much more for the team than Brazilians or Argentinians. They do have Messi, Ronaldino, Ronaldo etc., but Europe gave us Zidane, Ballack, Van Nistelrooy... On the other side they have Scolari vs for example Hiddink... I wouldn't generalize so much here, there are always pro and contras... I think I would speak like this if I speak about baseball or cricket (I don't know the rules of these sports at all )
If somebody kicked my balls like Rooney I would beat his ass and his mother wouldn't be able to recognize him after that! Rooney got what he deserved and there is no way that Ronaldo or anybody else could convince referee to get him red card. If I was ref I would give him red card and kick his ass after that.
