$1,500/month and you can live like a king in most parts of USA too (both coasts excepted). The average price for an apartment where I live is about $600.00/month. And I spend about $600.00/month for food to feed four adults. So I see cost not worth the effort to move to India -- there would have to be other reasons.
It all depend on which city do you want to live ?? For City like Delhi, hyderabad, Mumbai around $1500 / month Little lower leveled like Nagpur, bhopal around $700 /month
Believe it or not .. We Indians are the richest people in the world .. !! I'm not a economy student nor I have any interest in that dumb subject, I know one thing and it is for sure ... what world know is simply 2% of Indian economy ! Do u know our politician Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav Ji have so much money that he can feed this world for a Year and we have tons of politicians like Mr. Lalu Ji
600-800 dollars per month. Lesser if you stay in villages. A decent broadband connection @ $12\month.
@ spider man i will really like the details of how you spend 1500-2k$ per month and still not living life king size? IMHO even 1k$ is more than enough to live like a king in any of Indian Metro.
I think 50k ($1000) will be enuff only if you already own a house in a metro. I used to pay 50k per month for rental alone, for a 2BHK when I used to stay in Mumbai (Bandra (W)).
Please explain me how you can live king size in 1000$ per month dude. I would love to hear it from you.
@gsv13 - For you what life is King Size ? Believe me 1,500-2,000 USD Includes but not limited to: #1 - Fuel of My Car - Approx 500 USD/Month !! (I Drive approx 150Km's Daily, This includes my business visits, Once a Month used to go for Weekend so this will be more then 500 USD ... I'm taking Just taking Minimum). #2 - Maintainance of My Car - Approx 200 USD/Month ! (This includes minor dents, road site accident and sometimes bribe we have to give to cops). #3 - Daily Expense ($10/Day) - Approx 300 USD/Month ! (This includes .. My Daily Cigarette, Hard Drinks Sometimes and Daily Lunch which I take road side). #4 - For My Breakfast and Dinner Expense you can say that its somewhere around 200 USD. (Its all prepared at my home). #5 - Electricity Bill, Phone Bills, House Maintenance, Water Bills, Internet Bill .. etc Its somewhere around 150 USD. #6 - My Clothes, Sometimes Movie With Friends, Parties .. etc - Approx 150 USD. I think its already 1,500 USD - and Still I believe there are lots and lots of things pending !!
Well, I live in the extreme end point of the the suburbs of Bengaluru, near Bannerghatta for half a year and half in Andheri in Mumbai. I spend 20k in Bengaluru and 50k for a 1700 sq.ft house respectively in the two places. Food comes at around Rs. 10000 a month. Utilities including 1 mobile phone, 2 TVs, 2 landlines, and internet comes upto around 6000 a month. Transport is great, with the BEST and BMTC around I hardly have any problems.
1500$ in India, NO-NO! If you are maintaining a nice car,nice house,nie furnish,cool apparels. 1500$ is nothing.. For a good life,you need atleast 3000-3500$ .
Absolutely and some people feel you can live king size in 1000$. Even if you keep a pet with you his monthly expenditure will be appox 100-300$ a month.
Actually it depends according to you what is king size .. Like I have Honda City and According to me the guys who have Audi lives a life like a kind !! For a guy who dont have any car might be thinking that I'm living a life of a King .. but believe me its not king at all ! Its like 20Hours of hard work !
Not likely (see below) They may well be pretty darned wealthy, but they don't hold a candle to these people. Each of those people have more money than many entire nations.
