Hi everyone! I've only been here a short time, but I've learned you guys know your stuff, and was hoping you could help me. I'm still working on my website. I've picked up some copywriting hints which I'm still working on incorporating on the site. The big question I have is how do I create a sense of urgency with my profession? I'm a Virtual Assistant. I work with small businesses and assist them by doing administrative and bookkeeping services. My rates are by the hour and I don't have sales. How do I create a sense of urgency to encourage people to "buy now?" Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
This is a very effective tatic. "Lock in my special hourly rate for a limited time only" is an example of something you could use. Additionally, make sure to emphasize how valuable your service is and the immediate positive effects a company will see once they employ your help.
Be of limited supply. I've seen things like "only accepting a couple more clients until I'm booked", or "2 month waiting list, signup now", etc.
Fear of loosing a good offer/ service will create a sense of urgency. (Better instant order.) Good could be low cost... regards
Play on things that would be putting added stress on a businessperson. Is it yearly tax time? Quarterly tax time for the self-employed on that schedule? Holidays coming up where they may need to be more efficient to take time off? Heck, summer's here... a lot of self-employed people don't take vacations, because they're too swamped. Play on that. Maybe advertise your services in the short-term rather than long term. If you try specializing like that, you may be able to appeal to professionals who can't afford someone all year long, and you might convert short term clients into long term ones down the road. Hope that helps. Jenn
Thank you so much everyone! Those are great ideas. I'm going to try to come up with some wording and hopefully get these implemented by this weekend. Thank you so much. I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with something.
