I move my wordpress blog to root directory and now I want to keep index.htm page exist at the server but whenever someone request for index.htm or site page he must go to index.php page. How to do it ? When index.htm page exist, in browser i automatically redirects towards index.htm when i delete index.htm then redirects towards index.php How to set 301 redirection URL? site is in my sig (funny love sms)
Here is my wordpress code in .htaccess file i place ur code but its not working. please embed this code in wordpress. It was giving error index.php file is not exist if i remove wp rewrite rule, and i i place both codes in .htaccess file then nothing happen just redirecting towards index.php file becoz i rename my index.htm file as iindex.htm (temp)

I tried before posting this thread but i think in browser its set by the default that whenever index.htm page exist then that will load by the default index.php goes 2nd priority.
One thing if you are Lan User in Pakistan. Using 1 External Ip on 100 Lan Connections you cannot update your cache yourself. Did you tried with proxy. Similar problem with me. It takes time to update as cache is cleared around once in a week.
Yes i am using Lan. So how to access via proxy or u talking about accessing cpanel via proxy or filezilla. (I think cpanel)
Nono! If you have set a Redirection on Cpanel. Browse your site through proxy such as http://www.evernewsms.com/index.htm being browsed by a proxy. See if its redirecting to http://www.evernewsms.com/index.php What i mean is if you have set a re-direction and you don't see it re-directing its a matter of cache.
