    Happens quite a lot.
    Happened with me as well, once, when I called a fellow female forum member a mae, she got pissed with me...

    Well from some threads i've seen,some members get ripped off by members with huge post counts and heaps of green rep.
    So to me when dealing with members,I do look at the rep/post count/membership length and whether the person communicating ,can well communicate properly.

    As soon as i see a member post on a thread irrelevant crap (like if they have read 2 words in post and make a post related to those 2 words,and not the post itself)-they lose any future credibility with me.

    I think true reputation is built upon members post content over number counts of 'stats' like green rep.

    @rsrikanth05,
    I've never got peeved at people calling me male. Evidently it's my username i've picked. 'us' in latin means male. ahh well.

    I, myself, do think the avatars that people choose to use as their personal avatars do have some kind of 'reflection' on who they may be 'behind the screen'. However, this does not mean to imply that someone with, say, an avatar of the devil is necessarily a devil worshipper (maybe they simply like the color red, think flames are cool or...maybe they're just the horny type, lol). I imagine people choose particular avatars for a variety of reasons; to express the things they love, hate, enjoy, dread, etc. On the other hand, if they choose to use an avatar of something other then an avatar of themselves, this could simply be for privacy reasons. After all, the net is a BIG place and not everyone is comfortable sharing "themselves" with the rest of the world, especially with those they don't know on a somewhat personal level (and that's understandable, for sure). As for myself, it makes no difference to me what someone's avatar is, I kind of find it fun trying to figure out if "that secret person" is male or female and what might they be like in "real life". However, if it's one's reputation/reliability I'm trying to figure out, I'll look to the quality of their posts and the things that others may have said about them (if possible) because that's where I'll most likely find what I'm looking for. :)

    I don't think so - if we are talking about deals, we are looking for iTrader points, not rep points :)

    In most of cases I'm the one who is selling something ( services ), so .. it's not so important ( or maybe I don't care it so much ) for me to work only with senior members :) In case if I will not get paid - then I will not .. that's all :) +/- 1 day of my life is nothing too big to start crying about it :rolleyes:

    Rumor has it, if you have an avatar of a hot chick, your signature links get more clicks. Some guys have had chick avatars because of that!! :D:D:D:D

    Naa... For moderators it doesn't really matter.Yeah!

    It does matter for people who are not just restricting themselves to the general chat and Entertainment sub forums.

    I know a guy who has loads of reputation to his name and not a single i-trader.:eek:

    I know a guy called <Beeeeeeep> who always uses his reputation to get free review copy in the BST forum and gives a standard , formatted , template:eek: review which doesn't really help the cause.

    Yeah... I can see.... :rolleyes:

    for me i don't give a rat's ass if you are the hottest girl on the net i will still treat you the same, and I can simply create an account with a hot girl as an avatar and pretend to be a girl, that's where ewhoring comes into play. Who the hell cares if you are a girl or a guy, in this forum anyway. Its not a dating forum. This is a site to learn how to make money. If you want to start leg humping at least pick a dating site.

    lol! i would not be surprised but only if the pic on the avatar is of a real life chick and not some silicon valley of big hooters which would pretty much ruin the credibility
