How do I find out how many URL variations a site is rendering under. For example: www.snapfish.com The site's homepage renders under at least 3 URLs a. http://www.snapfish.co.uk/ b. http://snapfish.co.uk c. http://www.snapfish.co.uk/welcome/ how do I find this out? (I got the above information from a report)
you can google this: site:www.snapfish.com or site:snapfish.com to find the indexed pages under that site
I know I came across a tool that checked for multiple homepage urls and if they have proper redirects. It took me a while to find this tool again, so you better appreciate it http://www.searchmasters.co.nz/redirect-check/ It probably won't notice your welcome folder but it does check many other versions of your homepage's url.
WRONG - stick to being "sultan of swing" - this only shows indexed pages rendering UNDER the URL "www.snapfish.com" hence the command "site:www.snapfish.com" which is 2,470 - basic SEO knowledge. If you use the command "site:snapfish.com" then you'll see 20,000 indexed pages and on page 12 you'll see "www1.snapfish.com" and "www2.snapfish.com" In SEO if you're searching for various terms ideally you want ONE url to be used even if you're using the multi servers, but as snapfish take in excess of 7 million users daily then they need multi servers. My QUESTION was how do I find out all the URL's the site is rendering under I don't have time to check through 20,000 pages to see if i've missed any.
Awesome tool! Rep given! Any ideas on a tool to discover server rendering? www1. www2. www3. ? Thanks
I know, hence why i'm looking for this tool to show the client how many URLs the site is rendering under? Please read the question - Doesn't make sense
Regardless of whether it's a client or not it is clear to anyone who understands SEO i'm aware of WHY i'm looking for this as I've put: The site's homepage renders under at least 3 URLs a. http://www.snapfish.co.uk/ b. http://snapfish.co.uk c. http://www.snapfish.co.uk/welcome/ how do I find this out? Please stop explaining nooby junk to me.
Ok, you're clearly a special case. Please stop spamming this post. I think you've miss understood or just don't understand the question - please read it again and stop spamming my post. If you actually know the answer do the decency of explaining to me how you can supply a list of rendering servers NOT why it's bad to render under different URLs this is obvious and why i'm trying to find out... Why else would I ask the question if I was unaware of this? Anyway.... enough entertaining you. I'm sure you'll come back with another comment, to justify your reply but your wasting your time unless you can answer the original question. good day
