It's good for you. You should also test other ideas which being posted via this thread. Nevertheless your CTR should be better now after implementing this technique.

I was just checking some stats and I've realized that sites where I do this have CTRs anywhere from 2-20 times greater than my other sites without images!

I saw your site on digg, congrats on that! I saw a generator for what you have a few days ago, but it was for YPN. Did you use an AdSense generator or just do it by hand? (If you used an AS generator, link?)

This has been answered many times. For example, you can read the conditions of use of this image technique (enough differentiation between ads and images), as explained by Google to JenSense.

Also, Google is now testing a similar technique with images near ads.

And Yahoo has been using something like this since about one year ago, for instance on the homepage of CNN, US edition (see "advertiser links" at the page bottom, with a related image).

Looking at your sites, I would do what has been talked about in this thread, putting images close to the ads, at the mo you seem to have your ads under the menu on each site, I think this is a bad Idea as the lack of space could mean the user clicks the ad when they go to click one of your menu items (maybe this was your idea)

I would put the ads in the page content, so they blend in with your text. Use images in the same way you put the images next to your text on your ideliverit.com site.

And OMG, spend some time on the fleetcars.info site, it's a mess :|
    * words touching the left side of the page (no page margin)
    * a long list that could be made into 3 lists next to each other to save space and not leave such a large area of white
    * ads that touch the menu (see above)
    * white ads on blue background (blue background and white text would blend better)
    * a hit counter that is not showing many hits, makes you look small.

    just my 2 pence :)

I Don't understand. if the CTR was 25% or so, a 400% increase (4-fold) would imply a CTR of 100%? that's about as good as it gets (and could raise suspicions with google, wouldn't it?)

    Anyway, nice work!
