I think number 4 is most important IMO.

 

I prefer not stealing content, so I agree with tip 3. Use your own 'unique' content.

 

It's a shame not everone's like you.

But sometime's people stealing your content can work out good for you.

As I explained in a post about Yahoo answers. That some of the autoposting software people use pulls answers from yahoo and if you have included your link its a great way of getting back links

Directory submitting is one of the most important. Also quality link exchange can be good.

More inbound lnks the better.

These are plain and simple five tips you have given. There is lot of information on SEO, page rank etc. that it is becoming very hard to understand the basic concept getting visitors to our site.

I have realized after checking my blog stats, how important is the content. No referral links were sending more than the organic traffic that Google has been sending based on the content of my blog. That was a cool revelation.

With the adwords keyword tool, make sure you have the correct location set, and try both broad and exact match type... there can be quite a difference ;-)

i'm a firm believer in using social bookmarking and directories, always seems to get you indexed fast

 

you can even check for some pr penalized (0) sites with good ranking in local search

 

It's not necessary to submit your site to directories, you can do lots of other things to get backlinks. One way is trough article submission. I do think it is much more preferred way. Anyway thanks for your tips.

 

well directory links is not what they were but they are still good part of the link mix

 

the most important tip i see for on-page seo is the keyword optimization with the proper frequency

 

Nice tips, unique content is the ay to go these days as te search engines( Google in particular) penalise sites with duplicate content

thanks for sharing of ideas for SEO.In seo we mainly categorized in two types-
1) on page
2) off page

in on page keyword selection,Title tags,H1 tags, content,keyword density etc.
& In off page we mainly make link for our site by link building,directory,article etc.

 

I agree with everything except for the directories part. They are great for indexing and all but nothing beats profile links. If you do decide on using profile links though, be sure not to be spammy and post threads in the community you are linking from.
