Hi, I see that there are alot of humor vidoes on the Internet. I was just wondering where they get their videos from. I know that you can download free online games to add to your own site, but what about the humor video's. I am looking into adding videos to my site that are not to harsh and sick. Just has a little humor in them and are quite funny. Where can I download these from or how can I plug them into my site. What sites offer this?
from what i have gathered, most sites just have videos from other sites... and becuase no one site actually hold copyright to most videos, they don't (or can't) do anything about it, except for trying to embed the videos so they can't be downloaded (as easilly), only watched.
Yes, but I have heard that Ebaumsworld.com is doing that. They are taking videos and other peoples content of other sites and using it on their own Ebaumsworld.com site and now people are hacking their site, vandalizing Ebaumsworld.com headquarters and things. But then I think that is because someone actually told them to take something of their site and they wouldn't. So, wouldn't downloading videos of someone's elses site and uploading and imbedding them into yours be a copywrite violation. I don't want to break any laws, but would like to have some video content on my site.
There is a site that has hundreds, you can download all, they just have a url in the videos here is the site http://www.thatvideosite.com Under each video you will see the download
Any site cannot own the video unless they have purchased or been given full rights to it from the person who made the video, which 99% of the time, doesn't happen. So the site you would be downloading from, would be in breach of copyright too. The way this works is basicaly because an individual owns the video (rather than say a Broadcasting company) then the individual is unlikely to ask you to take it down, if they even know it's there in the first place. Whereas if you put an episode of the Lost TV show on your site, you would be notified fairly rapidly to get it taken down etc. Thats my take on it anyway.... im not condoning stealing videos from other sites, but thats the way it's done most of the time.
Yes, they have a download link on each video, but does that mean you can download it and then upload it to your site. Or does it mean that you can down load it just to have it on your computer. I find that you can download alot of free online games, but that doesn't mean that you can have them on your site. But then again, I guess that with free online games alot of the site owners actually make them and not the individuals. If I add videos to my site and somebody asked me to take them down then I would, so I guess that would be alright. Also, I think that some sites like Ebaumsworld actually hot links them so that they use other sites bandwidth, which I would not as I will be downloading them and uploading them to my own server. Do you think what I will be doing will be alright? Do you think I would be doing it the best way as I will be using my own bandwidth, plus I will also take videos down if individuals ask me to or companies.
Well all those videos on thatvideo site are all over ths place anyhow I personally have some video sites and they are low earners comapred to my others
So do you also get your videos from that site. Also, what do you mean they are low earnings. Have you got adsense and CPM ads on them?
Have you tried using CPM ads. That was what I was going to do is to have one Adsense block and probably up to 2 CPM ads per page. I will also have more content on the page than just one video though as just one video and three ads is something that I don't think would work and also wouldn't look good. I like to have alot of content on a page so that my pages doesn't just look like they are pages full of ads and hardly no content.
