I had 3 websites about 2 years ago and after 6 months was making about $20 a month. I got fed up and gave up and now I have returned but after 2 months I am only hitting like $5. You guys seem to know what to do so could someone please help me improve my earnings by offering some advice. Or just tell me what I am doing wrong
Your question is like calling up a doctor on the phone and asking him what's wrong with you. (not enough information) Traffic + CTR = Money. What are your stats?
On my best day I got just under 1,000 views and not a single click. My sites are in my signature and have been running 2 months.
change your adsense background and merge it with your websites color. it will increase your CTR for sure
Not much content... Post more quality posts.. and your traffic and earnings will automatically increase...
On your healthblog, try a more professional looking template, or at least one that's broader than what you are using now. As said above, blend in the ads.
Use ad-units instead of link-units on the world news site and have a play with the ads' colours and backgrounds. Also, of course work on your site's SEO to get more traffic...
My Site also getting 1000 Views per day but my clicks is more then 200 per day .. so make your ads similar like your content... 1st you have to change your blogger theme.. contact me if need any help.. about ad placement and best theme for you...
Are you trying to to say that you have 20+% CTR??? That's way to much and is likely to get your adsense account banned.
On your "world news" site I would get rid of those "links" that you have in the content and put in a skyscraper on the right sidebar. Make the background blend and have the text white. Put it at the very top of that sidebar so it looks like your site navigation. On the "health news" site..I like the square ad at the top, but blend the background to a color close to #FFF8DB and get rid of the border. Same with your other ads. Blend the background and maybe ditch that small one at the top of the left sidebar and put in a tall skyscraper ad unit. Remember, blend all backgrounds. If you can make the ad link color blue without it looking weird, do that, otherwise just stick with your sites text colors. The ad description text can be black..that's what I always do.
Never..... My 90% Traffic comes from Organic Search Engines .. and my CTR is more then 10% from a Year ... Google Know Everything from where my traffic coming ... So I m not Worry About It...
I agree with km11kh.....why do you need to go with the conventional blogger template when you are paying for hosting.give your site a website look not a blog look. Also try adding two sidebars in the site which will make it look good and attrative. Also if possible..give a separate link to each post from your home page.Let your site feature only one article at a time...and not one below other. You could like to go through this blog for some changes to be made: http://tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com this might help you. Also keep the ads background same as your site background.
Generally! Average earnings of all publishers being dropped down due to decline in world economy although it is expected to get stable in future
Thanks my friends, I will sit down tomorrow night and apply a few changes. Really appreciate you all taking the time not only to reply but for taking time to review my website, deff love this forum.
health nice its usually high converting , my two cents 1. get rid of the link units , they are worthless and none will click on them never ( at least for me they aren't work never ... ) , if your propose is the ad sense earnings with the site I think always only one ads spot per page is far away better than multiple spots
