PHPBB 3 forum...cant login

Yeah, so my forum has just decided that it won't let me login anymore. I am using the right username and password.

I've tried reseting my password and using the one given to me then - still doesn't work.

As i'm the only admin of the forum this isn't an ideal situation to be in.

What can I do? Will I have to do a fresh install?

Oh, the forum (not big, I know):
    http://freedivs.com/forum/

I have sql access, but arn't passwords saved in the database encrypted? (I've not checked, it's just what i'd assume they should be).

Well if the problem is really with the password , then here is a workaround to get to into the admin panel .

Create a new user from the front end. Then go to phpMyadmin , from the phpbb_user table ,copy the hashed password of the new user you have just created and paste it on the admin hashed password.

Then login from the front end using the same new password.

However , if password is not the real cause, can you tell us if you upgraded your version also check template

You can also PM me if you wish to with the access details and i will have a look at it.

    Thanks

Did your host recently upgrade MySQL version?

You should be able to reset the password using steps provided by Mobile-Monster.

Not sure if my hosting upgraded MySQL (I wasn't told so i'd assume not).
