How would this Powerful Search Engine be marketed?

I have a very powerful search engine created.

zShare360 - http://www.zshare360.com/

I'm new to the "search engine" industry, but this site has so many extra features that of the highest demand from zShare (and it's first of it's kind).

I'm in the urge to know how to market this website, as I want it to grow to it's furthest potential.

Also, could users provide me with some information on how I could expand this into something like Rapidshare search engine. If you also offer services that could help me, I'd be glad if you could elaborate more to me on what you could offer.

 

What is this search engine for in specific ?

i mean is it like Google or Yahoo ?

or it's something different ?

Hmm you are wasting your time, why make a zshare and not a rapidshare search engine?

 

I don't think it's worth the time to market it.

However, you could post some Ezine ads and PR to market it. Actually, it depends on your budget and the profit viability of the market.

RapidShare is a much better and popular host as compared to zshare...

You cant promote something that doesnt work, i searched a bunch of popular songs and didnt find any results

 

It's because it doesn't have every zShare file. It's user-orientated and only finds files that "want" to be found.

Don't worry about it's workingness, I've got it covered. It's still in BETA 1, so give it a break please. I'm focusing on marketing, and thanks I'll have a look at finding partners.

 

I have developed my own rapidshare search engine and will launch it pretty soon, since we are not direct competitors maybe we can exchange links and talk about marketing, promotion methods and how to improve our sites.

well, what it is a file sharing site, and that said file sharing sites dont make alot of money...

 

It's because they pay out their money. And, a lot of them do, otherwise they wouldn't exist.

Google doesn't index every zShare file, and if they do, they are hard to find. So, sometimes niche-related search engines have their advantages.

highlight how it is different then other of its kind and the traffic will come naturally ...

 

Google has always been the number 1 search engine and I like also the features of Scam Search. I think you can market search engines through blogs or forums.

 

It's not a search engine Google-type. It's only specifically for zSHARE files.

There is a huge difference people. I'm not even going to attempt to beat Google.

 

Fix it, THEN try to market it.
