I've created my site back in 15/11/2008 and on 31/12 I got PR-1. Just wanna hear from you how hard is PR3 ... maybe i can get it in the next update! Thanks
I got PR3 of my site quite quickly. All you need to do is build good qulaity links and have good content. Build a few quality links from other PR sites daily and you should get PR3. I probably had about 20 links to my site when I got PR3. But aim for as many as possible. Josh
PR1 is rather easy while for PR2 you would need a few related high PR links. However, PR3 is a different ball game together and one of the best ways to go about link building is to draw upon a plan of 10/20 links a week. Related links are all the more better but if it is raw PR that you are aiming, even unrelated links will do good. Remember, while a good links often lead to better pagerank, it not a rule of the thumb and there are so many exceptions. I know websites that have PR3 with barely a couple of links but for static content over 2-3 years. However, if you go by the norm aim for PR2++ links at the rate of 10/20 per month and you should do good by the next update. SERP rankings on the other hand, is a different ballgame altogether.
Just a decent enough number of backlinks should help you reach PR3. In my experience, the going gets tough from there..However, PR is no longer the much significant criterion for search results..
Can't give you a number..I had probably 20-30 PR 0-1 links with 1 PR-4 link i guess when i reached PR 3..
PR 3 is fairly easy to get but above that it just keeps getting harder to reach. I had a client who I helped them reach PR 5 but it was very tough and had 10-20 authority sites linking to it.
Getting PR and Up is very tough. Its just not the number of links, there are other factors like number of pages etc that determine the authority of a site.
Not hard, it's all about link building and SEO. But I'd say link building is more important. But what's the point having a PR3 or PR8 if that won't bring your money?
PR 3 isn't easy but you're not looking at something impossible either. Just put the time in, make sure you have a well-thought site that attracts users with good content, submit to many social media sites as well as other SEO and you should have no trouble with PR 3 with the next update (March I believe? Don't quote me on that).
If your site is useful, inform others about it. Even sites with high PR can link to you for quality backlinks as long as you are truthful and maybe a little bit creative with your contact email. I've managed to link to some high PR sites just by upselling myself.
Also if you have links pointing to other sites try to reduce their number. This will help you not to loose pr. But if you ask me, forget about PR, just work on the site and the results will come naturally.
