Normally it's 33 and change when i make a sale. Tonight i made a sale and it was 26.98. It said item 3 though, and i'm not sure what that is. I think it's normally item #1 for the 33$ sale. Anyone know what that sale was for, or did the overall payout change?
Hey, yup its the new exit offer. The backed offer has also increased to about $45 ($67 price) The backend offer now includes "myorganic" and "diyhot".
I've got to tell you Swerd, I'm really liking that upsell! I've only had one so far, but it's going to help me achieve my latest goal a lot faster if it converts consistently and I really don't see why it wouldn't. I've had a couple of downsells as well. I bet your overall conversion rate must be pretty impress since you've made these changes. Keep up the good work!
I had one of these the other day, guess that's a conversion I wouldn't have normally had Also had my first backend sale a few days ago
It appears that the new payout is 20% , or roughly $7 less than it used to be? Is this temporary or permanent? And if its permanent, did you cut the base price, or cut the percentage paid to affiliates? Using the numbers from cb analytics and what you stated in this thread - Hottest Product On CB!!! Earn $79.63 With Our Backend Sale and your assertion of a backend sale that nets $45 ($79.63 - $45) = $34.63. This doesn't add up to the $26.96 i got last night even if i subtract 10% to clickbank. What am i missing here? Let's assume that the new base payout is only $26.96, and use the new max upsell payout of $79.93 from cb-analytics: I want to find out how many sales i'll need to make per upsell conversion in order to make up for the $7 dollar lower base payout. ($76.96 upsell payout - $26.96 base payout)/($7 per sale difference in old payout versus new payout) = 7.57 This means i'd need to convert an upsell every 7.57 sales in order to make up for the new lower base payout. To me, that's highly unlikely and it appears that this change isn't very beneficial to me as an affiliate. Of course i'm basing all of this on a new payout of $26.96. If that's not correct, please let me know. Nothing personal, so please don't take this as an attack. I'm just trying to understand this as it appeared rather unexpectedly. My assumptions could very well be wrong and render all of this meaningless.
This is my understanding. The product now has two different price points. Users will still pay the original price if they go to the site for the first time and purchase the product. If they go to the the site and decide not to purchase the product, they are offered a discount if they would like to reconsider. The $26.98 you received is from that "exit offer" that Swerd referred to. With the new price points, you should now receive commissions of $26.98 and $33.92 as well as bonus upsell sales of $45.73. I don't think there is any reason to be pessimistic about these changes, because our conversion rates should go up and our overall earnings per transaction may also increase if the upsells convert well.
Read the above posts, this is not a new price but it is an exit discount price, so you convert people that are normally leaving.
Thanks for the clarification guys. I wasn't aware that was how it worked. Sorry to be pessimistic, but once bitten twice shy.
Yep thats correct. Thanks for sorting it out. ~$79 is the MAX payout. 33.9 (item 1 - no exit offer) + $45.73 (item 2 - backend offer) diyhotwater, myorganicfoodgarden and cargoh2o will eventually all be sold as seperate items using the earth4 paylink. So actualy if a customer purchased e4e then all of the backend products seperatly the total payout would actually be ~$115.. but its unlikely somebody would purchase them seperatly so i listed the total payout as $79. Cheers, Swerd
after a customer has already purchased an e4e membership they are offered to purchase 3 other products for a reduced price. This is only availabe from the members area.
ahhhhhhhhhhh sweetness likin t.. so the potential for extra money is there then? thats what it does then.. make it possible for affiliates to pick up extra cash??
Yes, the backend products are still sold as e4e for the publisher, just a different item number. This means that if you referred the person to e4e your cookie will still track for these items as well and you will get commission.
