I think you could sell it, Im tempeted to put in a bid in myself , nice stats and great garentee , if you had about 5 more sales under your belt or 100 more posts , i would feel a little safer but that and the fact you say someone could rip it off easy are the only reasons im not bidding at this stage good luck . Im new to all this myself but tempted sounds good to me , never know I might be back to make that bid .

If the URL was revealed, I would get a better sale, but the buyer would potentially get less for the money. You guys need to understand that this was done to protect the potential buyer.

I suppose I made a mistake for trying to sell a site this way, but because of its nature there was no other way of doing it. It is apparent that it will not work out this way, and I understand everyone's concern. We are all afraid of getting burned and so am I. I'll build up some content traffic and my rep here, and then I'll get back to selling it. There's no hurry for me.
Just checking out my competition, for the first time ever none over PR 5, a lot of PR 4. I can probably get it to top for my keywords, in no time. Silly me
To others thinking I was selling air: I gave traffic proof since 2004 and 18 months of AdSense earnings. With most other sales here you can be happy to get one month of AdSense earnings, if any.

Velocity, I understand your concern...but still.. don't you think it would be difficult for a buyer to pay you such huge amount without even knowing what he is buying.. put yourself in buyer's shoe and think...

If you like.. may be your can selectively disclose the url one by one to people who are actually..but that just an opinion.. you can do whatever you wish..

By all means, yes! And that's why I said that I understand everyone's concern, and will close the sale. I was going to do it through escrow though. Regardless, I am pulling the sale off for now, so mods can lock this topic.
I'll fix this baby up, build more content traffic, and maybe offer it again, along with the URL.

It makes perfect sense to not reveal the URL. In this case, revealing the URL would be BAD for the ultimate buyer. Anyone who has opinions like 'Well I wouldn't buy a site that I haven't seen' should keep their opinions in their head and stay out of this thread, the seller is looking after the buyer and anyone who doesn't respect that can go look at another thread.

I've been watching this sales thread just out of curiosity because I know that I don't have anywhere near the budget for such a site, but I would like to comment.

I find it interesting that there are so many that lack creativity and imagination. I also find it interesting that when there is a big sale going on the grunts come out of the woodworks to ask for the url. I would imagine that some of them were actually the theives the seller feared. The seller did not wish to provide the url because he knew that it devalued his site. This is a simple reason and it has been done before. Do you know what that tells about the seller? It tells that he cares for this site. Either he is emotionally attached to it and doesn't want to see it take a downward turn or he has professional pride in his work and doesn't want to see it raped. Either way this is a solid individual to work with.

Considering that the seller is the one who suggested escrow for payment and has left it open for the buyer to back out if the site is unacceptable further highlights his professionalism and diminishes the chances that he is just trying to rip someone off.
